It is most difficult when the injury is as you have painted the picture here... bad but not that bad... an injury painful enough to hurt but slight enough to make us wonder if we can hide it and it will go away. I shudder to imagine my own life. I would probably be limbless today had i let even one of my wounds go untreated. Surely in a spiritual sense I would be one lost soul.
