Bush’s thoughts on the legislative process
I couldn’t believe it when I heard this:
It matters little what path a bill takes to become law; what matters, is that we get a law.
I can’t believe we’ve been so silly as to subscribe to a legislative process… after all, it is complicated — and it can be contentious! Maybe we should just have a king instead. Then we could avoid this complicated process and bypass voting altogether!

Oh, c’mon … I don’t think that’s what he was saying. I know people think he’s some sort of traitor, but everything he has done, Congress has allowed – a Democratically controlled Congress, in fact. So if we want to kick him out, we need to kick everyone out who by proxy supported his decisions.
Incidentally, I hear a lot about stuff Bush has supposedly done, but I’ve never seen specific examples given. Not that I think he hasn’t done it for sure, just that I hear the complaint more than I hear proof.
